Windsor Racecourse Guide
About
Royal Windsor racecourse lies on the banks of the River Thames in Berkshire. It stages Flat racing only and is famous for its popular Monday evening summer meetings.
The Track & Course
The track is laid out in a figure-of-eight on flat ground beside the river, with a long run to the finish. Sprints are run on a straight six-furlong course, where the draw can matter depending on the ground.
Going & Ground
The going is usually good or quicker in the summer, but the riverside location means it can soften quickly after rain.
Key Races
The Royal Windsor Stakes and the Winter Hill Stakes are the course's best-known races, while the summer evening fixtures provide busy, competitive betting cards.
