Roscommon Racecards

Roscommon Racecourse Guide

About

Roscommon racecourse in the west of Ireland stages both Flat and National Hunt racing, with most of its fixtures held during the summer and early autumn.

The Track & Course

The track is a right-handed oval of about a mile and a quarter that is fairly flat with sharp turns. Handy horses that race close to the pace often hold an advantage.

Going & Ground

Summer going is usually good, though it can soften after rain, especially at the later meetings in the autumn.

Key Races

The Lenebane Stakes, a Listed race on the Flat, is one of the feature races, and the summer evening meetings are popular with local crowds.
