Lingfield Park Racecourse Guide
About
Lingfield Park in Surrey stages racing all year round on both turf and an all-weather surface, which makes it one of the busiest racecourses in Britain.
The Track & Course
The all-weather track is a sharp, left-handed oval of about a mile and a quarter on Polytrack, where being handy and drawn low is often a help. The turf course is undulating, with a downhill straight course for sprints, and jumps racing is run on turf in the winter.
Going & Ground
The all-weather surface rides consistently and allows racing to go ahead in most weather, while the turf course varies from firm in summer to soft in the depths of winter.
Key Races
Lingfield's all-weather cards are an important part of the winter all-weather championship programme, while its spring Derby and Oaks trials on turf can point to the Epsom Classics.
