Kilbeggan Racecourse Guide
About
Kilbeggan racecourse in County Westmeath is a National Hunt track known for its summer evening meetings and friendly, rural atmosphere.
The Track & Course
The track is a right-handed, undulating circuit of just over a mile with an uphill finish. It suits handy, sure-footed horses that can cope with the undulations and stay up the closing climb.
Going & Ground
Because most of its racing takes place in the summer, the going is usually good, though rain can soften it during the season.
Key Races
The Midlands National, a staying handicap chase in the summer, is the feature race and the highlight of Kilbeggan's season.
