Fairyhouse racecourse in County Meath is one of Ireland's most important National Hunt venues and also stages Flat meetings. It is home to the Irish Grand National at Easter.
The Track & Course
The track is a right-handed, galloping circuit of around a mile and three-quarters with a stiff uphill finish. It rewards strong jumpers that stay well and can sustain a run up the closing climb.
Going & Ground
Winter going is often soft, while the Easter festival usually takes place on ground ranging from good to soft depending on the spring weather.
Key Races
The Irish Grand National, run on Easter Monday, is the big betting race of the year. The Winter Festival in late November or early December features Grade 1 novice races and the Hatton's Grace Hurdle.
