Ballinrobe Racecourse Guide
About
Ballinrobe racecourse in County Mayo is a small track in the west of Ireland that stages both Flat and National Hunt racing during the summer months.
The Track & Course
The course is a right-handed, fairly flat circuit of a little over a mile with tight bends. Handy horses that race close to the pace often have an edge, as there is limited time to make up ground in the straight.
Going & Ground
Because racing takes place in the summer, the going is usually good, though showers can soften it during a meeting.
Key Races
Ballinrobe's cards are made up mainly of handicaps and maidens, with mixed Flat and jumps meetings that are popular with local racegoers.
